Where to find a copy
Pick up points
Beyond the door-to-door round, copies are placed where people already stop, sit and wait.
The second run
Not everyone reads it at home.
The full print run is hand-delivered through the door of every household in the catchment. But a paper that only ever reaches the doormat misses the people passing through the area — the commuter in the café, the patient in the waiting room, the visitor who is about to become a buyer.
So a share of each issue is placed in venues where people linger and want something to read. These are the venue types we return to in almost every catchment.
The agent's own office
500 copies of every issue supplied to the agent partner as the anchor pick-up point.
Cafés and coffee shops
Where a paper gets read cover to cover over a flat white.
Independent delis and farm shops
Local shoppers who already buy local — the natural readership.
GP and dental surgeries
Waiting rooms give a community paper the longest read of anywhere.
Libraries and community centres
The civic heart of a catchment, and where local news is looked for.
Gyms and leisure centres
Reception areas, café corners and post-class sitting spaces.
Garden centres
Weekend footfall of exactly the homeowners our advertisers want.
Hairdressers and salons
Forty minutes in a chair with something local to read.
Pubs and restaurants
Bar tops and window ledges, where copies go quickly.
For local businesses
Become a pick-up point.
If you run a venue where people wait or sit for a while, we will drop off copies of the local paper each issue. It costs nothing, there is no contract, and it gives your customers something to read that is about the streets outside your door.
- Free copies delivered to you every issue — there is no cost to become a pick-up point.
- Something genuinely local for customers to read while they wait, queue or linger.
- Your venue is listed in the distribution plan agreed with the agent partner.
- No display contract, no shelf fee, no obligation to keep stocking it.
How locations are chosen
Pick-up points are agreed jointly with the agent partner who publishes the title, as part of the distribution plan for that catchment. We will pass your details on and come back to you once the plan for your area is confirmed.
